Testing Oracle HTML DB

Now that Oracle HTTP Server and the HTML DB engine have been installed, and a Database Access Descriptorconfigured, it is time to test connectivity to HTML DB.

Open a browser session and type in the appropriate URL.  If all the same parameters mentioned in the text of this book have been used during the configuration of the DAD, a URL similar to the following will do the trick.  It may be necessary to substitute the text <localhost> below for the name of the server configured with the HTTP Server:

http://localhost:7777/pls/htmldb/htmldb

If there is a different virtual path configured in the Location directive in the dads.conf, other than <Location /pls/hdb20>, it will have to be changed in the URL.

When a successful connection is made, a screen similar to Figure 2.1 should be displayed.
