Testing
Oracle HTML DB
Now that Oracle HTTP Server and the HTML DB engine
have been installed, and a Database Access Descriptorconfigured, it is time to test connectivity to HTML DB.
Open a browser session and type in the appropriate
URL. If all the same parameters mentioned in the text of this book
have been used during the configuration of the DAD, a URL
similar to the following will do the trick. It may be necessary to
substitute the text <localhost> below for the name of the server
configured with the HTTP Server:
http://localhost:7777/pls/htmldb/htmldb
If there is a different virtual path configured in
the Location directive in the dads.conf, other than <Location /pls/hdb20>,
it will have to be changed in the URL.
When a successful connection is made, a screen
similar to Figure 2.1 should be displayed.
